The Four Food Groups: Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Costco Pizza....

.... or at least those three this weekend as the boys have eaten all of those things since mommy has been out of commission and I mean OUT of commission.  Stomach flu....  much dreaded words to a mom of small children.  Aaron was under the weather last week with something similar but yesterday evening I was down for the count.  Prayers please that it ends with me!!  So Daddy has been in complete charge and, unless you're a health nut would agree, has been doing a fantastic job.  The kitchen is clean, the kids are dressed (well Rachel has been in the same sleeper), and they've been to the park twice and Costco once.  Outside of the disappointment of missing swimming, dinner at a friends house and sleeping he's been having a pretty good time of it.  Last night he took them to Dairy Queen for dinner (a first for the boys) and they were very excited to give their token to the lady in exchange for their ice cream.  Tommy even told someone on the way to the counter that he was "getting an ice CREAM."  They also visited a "new park,"  twice.  All of his without having go bother me much and allowing me to rest,  which is a good thing since this time yesterday I was hoping to see the angel of death.... Thanks honey,  we're so lucky to have you.  I appreciate how well you've taken care of the boys and Rachel.
Here's some recent pics.
Trying on some of Daddy's hats!

Giving Rachel toys and more toys and more toys....

Birds of a Feather.

I recently had the above phrase in my mind as we dragged out the exersaucer toy from the top shelf of our garage (why Aaron puts essential, bulky and/or heavy things on the top shelf of our garage is a whole other blog post) for Rachel.  She really likes to play in it while I cook.   Seeing her playing in it reminded me of how Thomas loved it too and how alike they are in that they're both happy and love people.  When she sleeps I remember that Ben also used to throw his arms above his head and was so peaceful and how they both watch things intently not missing a thing.
Here's Tommy around four months in the exersaucer.
Here's Rachel.  Tommy is showing her how it's done!

Well, I tried... Happy 5 months Rachel!

I tried to get some Easter pictures.  Poor Rachel,  it seemed that either one twin was bothering her or the other!  But more importantly than any pictures, baskets, new dresses or great family photos is that we always remember or come to believe that: God demonstrated His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8), If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
Here's last year's photo of the boys...

And this years!  + a Rachel...

Happy 5th Month Rachel!!!  We celebrated with some rice cereal.
