The Four Food Groups: Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Costco Pizza....

.... or at least those three this weekend as the boys have eaten all of those things since mommy has been out of commission and I mean OUT of commission.  Stomach flu....  much dreaded words to a mom of small children.  Aaron was under the weather last week with something similar but yesterday evening I was down for the count.  Prayers please that it ends with me!!  So Daddy has been in complete charge and, unless you're a health nut would agree, has been doing a fantastic job.  The kitchen is clean, the kids are dressed (well Rachel has been in the same sleeper), and they've been to the park twice and Costco once.  Outside of the disappointment of missing swimming, dinner at a friends house and sleeping he's been having a pretty good time of it.  Last night he took them to Dairy Queen for dinner (a first for the boys) and they were very excited to give their token to the lady in exchange for their ice cream.  Tommy even told someone on the way to the counter that he was "getting an ice CREAM."  They also visited a "new park,"  twice.  All of his without having go bother me much and allowing me to rest,  which is a good thing since this time yesterday I was hoping to see the angel of death.... Thanks honey,  we're so lucky to have you.  I appreciate how well you've taken care of the boys and Rachel.
Here's some recent pics.
Trying on some of Daddy's hats!

Giving Rachel toys and more toys and more toys....
Oh that flower is yummy!

The Blues Brothers...  yes that's my living room on a typical afternoon.

  1. I have had 4 stomach bugs in the past month (2 were really bad!), so I feel your pain. Hope you feel better soon!! Oh, and my living room looks like that every afternoon as well. :)

  2. I LOVE this. I was down for the could two times in '82 or '83 which turned out to be Hepatitis C - I'm sure that's not what you have. But the one typing this note NEVER got the flu - EVER - and I can count on one hand how many times I've had it -IF I had a memory anyway ...
Your hubby has done GREAT! I think that he's kept everyone out of your hair is the best job ever.
I don't know how with no hubby or anyone else I made it thru about 1-3 days of not really being able to function - the kids made it - but not as well as yours.
God bless and I'm praying for your speedy recovery and NOT passing it on ...
