A Whole Lotta Nothing Much & It takes a village to turn 32.

My last week as 31 years old was fairly uneventful-  in the good sort of way.  The kids were getting over colds so we stayed home mostly and did the normal stuff.  Luckily for us the kids strategically planned to get sick when Grandma and Grandpa Wright were in town so I had lots of help!  Lucky for me not so lucky for Grandma-  sorry Grandma....
The boys  are talking up a storm and saying funny things everyday and it amazes me what's been rattling around in their brain.  Just tonight Ben was looking at a counting book and sings, "five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten."  Last night in the bathtub Tommy parks a cup of water on the edge and tells Aaron that it's his wine....  hmm...  Aaron tells him that wine if for grown ups and Tommy says "I'm a kid."  Ben chimes in "I'm a boy."  When you ask them our sitter Amanda, Grandma, and Rachel are also boys.  Hmmm.
Here's Ben mashing bananas.  He's very serious when it comes to cooking!

Tommy cleaning up some flour with his vacuum.

Someone should tell Thomas that this is illegal in Washington.

Rachel is close to sitting up on her own and is starting to roll onto her side.  With a slightly stuffy nose she hasn't been napping as long as usual in the afternoon so I used the time alone with her to grab some props and take some pictures.

I've been meaning to get some pictures of that blanket she's sitting on.  It was made by my family's friend Julia and it's just gorgeous.  She also knitted a sweater for the boys when they were born and one for Rachel.

The week ended with everyone mostly healthy and I did a few fun things for my birthday.  Aaron babysat Friday afternoon while I got a facial (got to start thinking about aging!) and then I met my friend Janell for coffee.  Saturday we spent it at a 2 year olds birthday party and with some friends with kids.  Then Sunday we went out to dinner sans kids and Aaron suprised me with this present; an agenda for a night away to an antique show I've been wanting to go to in Spokane in June.   He made hotel reservations, printed out the Spa brochure and arranged for his parents to come down and take care of the kids!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa.  When I looked at the Spa brochure I remarked that it was expensive.  Aaron just said,  "well you haven't been away in three years."  Good point....  Good point....  I would have a picture of the cute envelope it was in but Thomas stole it and was carrying it around in an old purse of mine.  It was a good day.

  1. I love the fact Tommy stole the envelope...that seems like it is the story of my life lately, too!
