He's a swimmer, a biker and runner and just good ole' Daddy to us.

So I'm FINALLY blogging about Aaron's triathlon....  two weeks later.  Before the twins were born Aaron started running pretty seriously for fitness and stress relief and generally a good outlet for his type A-ness.  He participated in a half marathon and really enjoyed it.  That's when I started hearing about triathlons.  Twins, a new job, a major move, a first mortgage and another baby later, he finally completed one.  Last October, just before Rachel was born, Aaron joined the local chapter of Team in Training.  Team in Training is run by the Leukemia/Lymphoma society and trains people how to do a triathlon.  They provide a club membership, wetsuit, classes and training sessions and ask members to commit to raising $3600 in return.  It's a wonderful program and Aaron really enjoyed it.  He was a success on both ends:  he completed his first triathlon and raised a whopping $4310.01!  Of course,  he couldn't have done the latter without the generosity of family, friends and co workers.  Thank you!  It went to a great cause!!!
Aaron participated in the Pacific Crest Triathlon in Sunriver OR.  Me and the kids went and both sets of grandparents joined us in a vacation house for three nights.

Aaron getting out of the water.  This was an Olympic length triathlon.  The swimming was 1 mile, the biking 30 miles and the running was 6 miles.  Yes,  all in the same day!
