Last Saturday we left our little city here in Eastern Washington and drove an hour west to Union Gap Washington. Union Gap, is just next to Yakima which is an agricultural hub of this area. The valley surrounding Yakima produces way over half of the world's hops (fun fact). It fittingly has an antique farm implement museum. Each year the museum puts on an antique power show. We saw an ad on TV that stated there would be lots of old tractors and free train rides for kids.... sounded like something the boys would dig. The whole drive there Tommy would point to the road and say "tractors over there." When we got there there were thousands of old tractors, steam engines, parts, junk and old men. There was also a huge flea market too. Aaron said he'd never seen a flea market for guys.... loyal readers are probably thinking back to my Farm Chicks post and laughing. The event was interesting for a 32 year old. Exceptionally interesting to a 2 1/2 year old. We spent three hours there and then got an antique burger in town. Well, the burger was fresh but the drive in was very very old. Here's some pics from our adventure. After I finish this post I'm going to order a John Deere shirt I saw for the boys and maybe Rachel....

This contraption was powering an ice cream maker. |
Going to watch the threshing show. And we thought twins were hard work! |
Thomas, Rachel (Aaron was really close by mom) and Benjamin. You know Ben is having a good time taking it all in when he frowns like this.... =) |
"Shouldn't I be in a car seat?" |
